This condo is perfectly located and all units have a balcony facing the beach. That being said, this was one of the dirtiest VRBO rentals I have ever stayed in. There were several dishes in the cupboard with gobs of food still in/on them. The tub didn’t drain until I removed handfuls of hair and several towels were stained. Overall, the unit needed a good refresh!We also had 2 days where the elevator was broken. The management company was quick to respond to my calls/texts and even gave us a small refund for our inconvenience, but it was difficult to haul all our beach gear up to the 5th floor. Would highly recommend Picnic Beach Bar and Grill on E 1st Ave.

The condo was perfect. Easy access to the beach. We had no problem parking. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. Chairs are available to rent right in front of the condo. And as always the gulf coast beach was spectacular. We would stay here again.

The view is absolutely stunning. The balcony was an absolute favorite. The location is close enough to all of the hot spots in town but far enough away from the traffic. The walk to the beach and back with kids(5-15) wasn’t bad AT ALL. It was a shorter distance from the building to the water than most places we have stayed in the past. There is security in the parking lot during the day- that’s always a plus! The back bedroom was a little warmer than we are use to but after getting some sun throughout the week, I needed a heated blanket. There were a few minor things I addressed, but absolutely nothing that hendered our stay or inconvenienced my family. Our family made the best memories here. 10/10 recommend. The only thing I would suggest for the owners in the building is more frequent cleanings for the elevator. Otherwise we had a great stay!

We had an amazing extended weekend in Gulf Shores, AL because of our beachfront location! Westwind 504 had everything we needed and more! Check in was super easy! The beach front access, parking and pool were perfect for our family of 7! The location was great to leave and experience the area. We are hoping to book again in the future! It was a great get-away and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Grand children had a blast at the beach and really enjoyed the pool! Only improvements to the condo would suggest lights for the bunks and an outlet for plugging in phones/games. The only one for the bunks is across the hall and makes a hazard for walking through.

We loved the smaller complex of Westwind. found condo as listed. Unit needs some up dating : furniture and rugs were dirty , tile floor in hallway was cracked and loose needs attention. some tile missing on balcony . We will book at Westwind again ,maybe try a different condo.

Property was great. Only issue was our door code was changed at 8 and checkout wasn't until 10. Thankfully we had family still in the unit so we were able to get back in. Otherwise our things would've been locked in while we went for our last beach walk.

I like how the condo was built with the 2 bedrooms away from each other so we didn’t hear their tv or talking, very nice and roomy. loved the view from the balcony facing the Gulf. And loved the fact that we could swim in the pool since Gulf was infested that week with jelly fish. We would stay here again. Thank you

We booked this condo for a week in June 2023. Upon arrival we noticed that it was not kept up very well. The entire complex needs to be updated and taken care of and the elevator always smelled like pee or double d-40. The pool was cleaned once while we were there and the area around the pool was NEVER cleaned. In the condo, loose tiles in the hallway, tiles missing on the patio and stacked in a corner - we wouldn't let our kids out on the balcony barefoot afraid they would cut themselves on the sharp edges, air did not work well in the back bedroom, cookware and utensils were not usable (they actually sent new up while we were there it was so bad), only one burner worked on the stove and the tv didn't work due to the cable bill not being paid (we called the cable company and they reinstated while we were there). On top of that, the dishwasher wasn't usable due to a design flaw. The door doesn't open all the way due to the refrigerator (which had rust on it) and you can only use the top rack in the dishwasher. They did not provide any dish towels. Bath towels are very thin and small. There were only thin sheets and blankets on the bed (our beach towels were thicker than the blanket). We did call and send photos of all the issues listed above and they were somewhat accommodating but it was very disappointing. The view was beautiful and access to the beach was nice, however it seems to be the hub for everyone not staying on the beach to access the beach, lots of foot traffic. Parking lot is small and you cannot park in the covered parking. It was difficult to park and navigate in a larger SUV. We love Gulf Shores and will definitely be back to the area but for the price paid and what we received we don't feel like it was worth it.

Great condo! Fantastic location! We love being down the beach a little way from The Hangout. Far enough away from the business of the main corner but not far enough away to be an inconvenience. We also love that Westwind in a smaller building. No standing around waiting for the elevator etc. just overall a great place to stay when the beach is the reason you are visiting Gulf Shores. The condo had everything we needed. Large TV for the kids at night. Good size table for meals in the room. Even had a blender which the kids appreciated to make smoothies and milkshakes. Can’t wait to come back next year and will try to book this exact condo again.

First, let me say that the company was super accommodating and allowed me to book with less than a 24 hour notice. They went as far as to answer on a Sunday just to make sure we were able to get into the condo. It has beautiful views ago and allowed us to spend time together as a family cooking meals if we wanted to or we conveniently located to several different restaurants. It was also relatively close to grocery stores and other convenient stores, however we did got groceries right outside of town. One of the things I was most impressed with, was on the last day of our trip they sent us a text about picking up the leftover food for one of the representatives to pick up and donate to food bank which is a cause near and dear to my heart and I’ve never had another company offer that service. Wait I have about the condo is it had somewhere in here where the temperature for the tile has shipped, but I am not a picky person and this did not bother me at all. Also I did not contact the company to fix it therefore I would not hold it against them at all. The check in and check out process is completely easy to understand and follow, the beds were great, the condo was clean upon arrival, and I truly cannot say enough great things about this place. We hope to be back in the future!

Property was clean but not to my standards, entry was a little tight to get in and out of with cart full or beach equipment and the toilet seat nuts could not be tightened to the point where the seat would not slide from side to side in the guest bathroom but other than that everything was great. We had a very good time and the distance to the beach and ocean was closer than any place we have ever been before. We will definitelystay there again

The location was perfect. The room had a few issues. The living room wall was all scratched up and damaged, the bathroom toliet seat was loose, the shower curtain was torn up. The closet door had a missing knob. The parking lot is very small and you can not park in covered parking. we were on motorcycle and we barley had room to park and it rained so we couldn't keep parking permit on bike. There was only one luggage cart and it was hard to get ahold of.

The parking lot has the smallest places I have ever seen and I’ve stayed in a lot of condos. Beware if you drive a larger vehicle. The interior space is very small, sleeps a lot but not a lot of room to hang out. The pool is also very small but the beach space was nice. Not overloaded with rental chairs so plenty of room to spread out.

Unfortunately, major construction and painting was happening during our stay so we had scaffolding cables and ropes obstructing the view from our balcony and the pool was not open. The condo was nice but the the blinds in one bedroom were not long enough to cover the window so we had to hang towels with coat hangars. There were only 2 dish cloths. The balcony could use a second side table so everyone has a place to put drinks, etc. They canceled our entry code before checkout time, so someone had to stay in the condo while we loaded the car.

We were 2 couples, it was nice we each had a queen or king bed with our own bathroom on 1 floor. The balcony could use better furniture. The kitchen was stocked with all that was needed and then some. We love having a washer and dryer. We heard the outside was getting a makeover and the inside was getting repainted which is needed and will keep this Diamond shining. If you want a smaller condo complex look at this one!

We had the best time staying here! It was so awesome being on the ocean and conveniently located. There were a few restaurants located and a grocery store (that was pricey) but nice to have for things that were needed. The condo it self was clean and the furniture was updated and very nice (not the same as pictured). The pool guy was out cleaning the pool every morning we sat on balcony and had coffee. Check in was super easy! The communication was very nice, they called to see how check in went and text to see things were going. The sleeping arrangements were good, the beds were comfortable and plenty room for the family to have their own sleeping area. The place was fully stocked and there wasn’t anything that we needed that was not there. If I had to find something wrong with the place it would be the sliding door to the balcony was difficult to open especially for the kiddos but that is nit picking. We definitely will be returning in the future!

Enjoyed our stay. The decor has been updated from what the pictures show, looked great. Condo was spacious enough for our group, 4 adults, a teen, 3 children, and an infant. It was clean. Love that the beach is literally the backyard. Love the view from the balcony. Would stay again. Only issue was the door locked/code stopped working an hour before checkout. Thankfully I was still inside when my kids got locked out.

The roof leaked the whole time which kept the floor wet. We called & people came out & the response we got was we knew about these two but this one is new. Really?! It wasn’t clean & we saw tiny roaches a few times, some of the tile in the hallway was wobbly & the patio door was barely working. Although it was a good location I don’t recommend it for cleaness.

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is great - very convenient to the beach and not far at all from restaurants and stores. Check-in and communication was easy and quick. We had a minor leak during our stay and management was very responsive and easy to work with. There were a few minor upkeep items that could stand to be done around the place and the internet access was sometimes slow. Otherwise, we had a good experience and a great time!

We stayed the weekend of June 6th 2020. The location is excellent! We usually stay and crystal shores west (next door). So we love this area of gulf shores! You can walk to the pier 33 convenience store in a matter of minutes. The building was fine and the parking was easy. The condo was clean enough, sheets clean, floors clean (but did notice fuzzy lampshades and dusty air filter intake). The furniture is outdated and shabby. Like aunt Louise went to a furniture bazaar in St. Augustine, FL in 1993 and never updated. Normally we wouldn’t be in the condo long enough to care but since COVID and tropical storm brewing that weekend we spent most of our time in the condo. That’s a petty issue and I digress. We did have an issue with the refrigerator (did not work properly). The bottom half (the refrigerator portion, not the freezer)was not closing properly due to the entire door being bent from the top. So the fridge was luke warm and the freezer was so overworked it was hot to the touch on the outside but frozen solid in the inside. I talked directly to the property manager about the issue (who was so very sweet and pleasant to deal with!!) she sent someone to look who confirmed what we stated. Obviously was not going to be replaced for our stay. We rigged the door by tying a cord to the handle and then to an adjacent cabinet, then gave up because it did not keep the door shut completely. We had 8 people planning on eating and cooking at the condo (because we wanted to avoid the Resturant crowds due to COVID) so it was more than inconvenient to go out and purchase extra coolers and ice (and deal with coolers and ice) for the weekend. Even though we stayed 2 nights it would have been nice to have a working refrigerator. We pay the exact same at crystal shores west per night and get a much better place to stay. The management team and property manager sent us their apologies. Overall we had a place to stay in a good location so we can’t complain too much. Coming back in September and staying at our usual place we won’t consider this unit again. Looks like there are other units In this building there that may be nicer. The property management is top notch!!! Overall it was fine

We were running our last trip to car at 10:50 and doors locked. Took forever to figure out who to call — spotty internet didn’t help. Good thing i had my phone!

Great location to convenience store, gift shops and eating places. Nice pool, short walk right onto the beach. Lighting of the property was great, felt very safe. Appliances worked as they should and clean. I gave 1 star for ' communication with property owner's, because property is for sale and we had no contact. BARE NECESSITIES ONLY... Where to start... We could start with the trailerhouse quality furniture that has neither style not comfort. Or perhaps the disrepair and overall shoddy work that was done in the places that had been repaired. I noticed a thick later of accumated dust on the AC intake. Just curious so I opened where the filter goes and it hadn't been changed in at least six months. Obviously repair and maintenance is not their top priority. How about that they don't even have a cookie sheet and the few pots, pans, and flatware they do have are old, beatup, mismatched, and cheap... looks like they pieced the entire place together with a day of garage sale shopping on the bad side of town. How about the fact that they have three remotes in the living room, some obviously from previously discarded electronics, yet no remote to the TV. Even better, how about this... They actually called while we were there and asked if we'd mind leaving for a few hours because they wanted to show the unit to a potential buyer. It wouldn't have been a big deal but it was storming at the time. Then this one, and while not the property owners fault, still utterly aggregating... The person who has the place directly above has their frigging Roomba programmed to sweep Saturday and Sunday morning at 6AM! I'm glad I got sleep in on vacation. How about the fact that they ran out of parking in the outside lot so I parked in the covered parking with my parking tag that said "this vehicle registration tag allows vehicle to occupy ANY AVAILABLE PARKING SPACE AT WESTWIND PROPERTY." Security then came to our room and said I had to move. That wasn't a big deal since a couple spots had opened up but irritating non-the-less. I called the property management company and got a call back from some arrogant sassy little guy who's grand logic was that the covered parking was for owners and the owners would obviously want their spot. To which I replied if the owner was here then they'd be in their unit instead of me. He obviously didn't appreciate logic or sarcasm. It's a decent location and the beach was nice but the unit was only acceptable and the leasing company was even less so.

Awesome place to stay at for a trip to the beach !! The condo is Right in front of the beach , it was very clean , and just perfect . We loved it so much ! Would definitely stay here again ! Thanks to the host . They would reply quick , and were very nice ! Really recommend the Westwind Condo !

We had a great experience at this condo! There was only a few problems. The elevator didn’t work a handful of times and that was super inconvenient. Also the floors left our feet black so I think they could be cleaned a little better. However, the location can’t be beat! The beach is beautiful and the condo itself is nice.

We enjoyed our stay very much - watching the dolphins and walking along the beach. We had a leak in the second bedroom/bathroom causing wet carpet. We contacted I-trip and they were addressing the issue. The leak seems to only appear after a heavy rain storm. Thank you for the use of the dehumidifier. Also thank you to maintenance for addressing our issues. The carpets in both bedrooms should be removed or a deep cleaned. Lamp shades need cleaning - otherwise, it was clean upon move in. The dresser drawers in back bedroom don't work - off track. Thank you to the party that stayed earlier in the year for the clothes dry rack that you purchased and left for future use. Came in handy for drying towels. Great washer and dryer. TV's worked fine but HD would be a nice addition. Only owners of condos are allowed to park undercover. All in all - it was a fun and relaxing experience as we are coming back next season. Maybe next year the weather will be cooperative so we can try the pool.

Very clean but bedroom carpets felt damp. A few dishes were not dry in cabinets. I-Trip offered to have housekeeping come in but told them not necessary as we had already put in dishwasher. Had to purchase dish towels- that was probably why dishes were put away wet. Every time it rains one of the carpets got wet. Maintenance is working on the issue and I feel it will get resolved. We love the balcony - sitting in the sun watching the people and dolphins. Would we stay again - remains to be seen if leak issue is resolved. Great location. I-Trip has been great on resolving our issues.

The entire condo feels damp, there are wet spots in the second bedroom on the carpet. The beds feel damp when you get into them also. There is mold in both bedrooms. The sheets were not washed when we got here. Everything in the condo was covered in dust, especially the lamps. There is definitely a moisture issue here, and with all the mold, I don’t know if it’s safe to stay here for an extended stay or not. It has potential, it just needs to be fixed up, and a new cleaning crew would probably do wonders.

Everything was perfect and I will definitely stay there again. The only thing we could never figure out was the cable TV but that didn’t take away from our stay. I wish I was still there!!! I loved it!!!!

My vacation was perfect. The condo was fabulous and thank you for making it all so easy!!!!! It was so affordable and I will definitely be back!! The beach and ocean were beautiful and we saw dolphins twice a day everyday about 50 yards off the beach. It was so awesome and just what I needed. I was the most de-stressed those 4 days I was there and I can’t wait to come back.

The condo was totally perfect (minus the ugly front door. Seriously, throw a coat of paint on it, lol. Otherwise, this was the most organized and supplied rental I’ve stayed in. It was immaculate and just beautiful. Location was great. I would totally stay here again. Oh, and the staff at iTrip was so great to work with, even when we had a minor hiccup after booking.

You cannot open the dishwasher door all the way down because the refrigator stuck out too far and blocked the dishwasher door. There is not enough storage places, especially in the hall bathroom where there is NO drawers or shelves to place your things. Will not use that condo again. Not 5 stars

The unit was ok. Our first impression was not good because the exterior of the entrance door had peeling paint and was scuffed up. The interior was about what we expected of a rental unit except for the tile floors which looked dirty. I really question if the cleaning crew had cleaned them.

Condo was exactly as shown in photos. Perfect central location on the beach. Some minor issues: 1) Can't open dishwasher door fully since it bumps into the refrigerator which makes it hard to load and unload; 2) Light lens on stove hood was broken (kept falling off) so we replaced it ourselves; 3) No place to hang towels in either bathroom, so had to purchase a free standing drying rack which we will leave for the unit; 4) Kitchen faucet is loose and wobbly; 5) Entrance door could use a coat of paint; 6) Bottom left drawer of dresser in larger bedroom has a broken track so cannot open or close; 7) Agitator on washer tends to break free and bang around - needs to be replaced. Also, dryer exhaust hose was disconnected, we had to hook it back up. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots & pans, and utensils. Nice furniture, plenty of bath towels, could use more dish towels.

We had two families with 4 kids under the age of 10 and enjoyed every minute of our trip. The condo was perfect size for the entire group. The view was amazing and most importantly, it was very clean. It was a very short walk to the beach from our room which worked out great for our little ones. We will definitely be back!

It was a great location, easy private access to the beach. Perfect for kids! We could walk to beach after breakfast and then back up to condo for lunch. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!! :)
